ELA 10: Feb 4 “The Cattle Thief” and discussion of honest men…
- We read the poem together and answered the questions. The focus of this poem was in the phrase that put the blame for the situation back on the European settlers saying it is hard to stay an honest man when you are starving.
- We talked about some of the realities of Canadian history and the mistreatment of several minority groups, such as the Aboriginal people and the treaties signed. We also discussed the Koma Gata Muru incident and the reality that they were given their appology by the federal government just recently as well, but they rejected it.
