ELA 30: Ap 4 Half and half class… 1/2 blog and 1/2 practice, then switch…
- Students were given a handout that has a checklist for them to use when completing their blog entries. They were reminded that the majority of the mark comes from their effort in their own writing and the comments they add to peer blogs.
- Students were divided into two groups: half were freed to go find room in the school for them to practice the performance of their version of “Porphyria’s Lover” while the other half used blog time. Then, at approximately half-way through the class, they were asked to switch.
- Students returned to the classroom at the end of class to get a peek at their report card mark.
- The performances will begin on Monday. I look forward to your productions!!
I was wondering if I could have the list of human qualities you put on the board the other day. They were the ones with the brick wall. Thank you

The list of human qualities are on a handout you got when we first started talking about this part of our unit. The biggest thing to understand about this is that our human qualities are the things that separate us from animals, the basic human responses we have. They are not affected by personality, though, so they are not emotions. A list would be qualities such as accepting, angry, humble, proud, accepting, patient, guilty, and so on. Let me know if you would like some more or I could get you another copy of the original handout!
