ELA 30: Oct 18 Reading period 2 of 5…

  1. Students are reading a novel each independently. They have five classes set aside to simply read. For this, they don’t have to take notes or answer any questions. Their only task is to keep an eye open for a usable quote to either support or refute the idea that characters in Canadian literature are usually made to seem isolated in some way.
  2. Students will be writing in-class personal essays in response to this prompt next week. They will have two classes to brainstorm, write a draft, edit, and create a final copy. This will be an exam for them.
  3. (They also had time to work on their ELA 30 multi-media presentations or do more reading in one of Mr. Moore’s math classes today.)
