1. Students were reminded that there are still several of their animation projects missing. I’m not sure how exactly to spur a bit more of a response to get those in. We’ll see if low marks will maybe encourage a few to get on that.
2. We are getting back into more true art and the task for the day was to draw the negative. The idea behind this is to not draw an object on the page but to draw the background or shadings behind the object so that the white (negative) picture was made more clear. It is kind of like drawing an image but imagining it has snow on it and is in the mud. I tried one and think it turned out nicely. Cody did a super job in his first try by drawing a banjo in the negative. I was really pleased and they stayed on task fairly well, with a little music to spur them on.
