Art 9: Mar 14 Drawing half a portrait project…
- Students began a new project today that will be evaluated by the product and process. They were asked to find a portrait picture online that included head and shoulders. It had to be a significant size on their page and was to be printed out to the color printer in the main office. Once they had their picture, they had to decide which half of the picture to cut off. They were to paste the half of the picture they were going to keep onto a new sheet of paper and then, without tracing of any kind, attempt to sketch in the remainder of the picture they removed. We’ll see how well they do at proportions and features of the face.
- Some students did a fantastic job! It was quite impressive.
